As part of the Community Development Project (CDP), a compulsory aspect of the Nursing course at IVA Para Medical Campus, students from the Bandarawela Study Centre took the initiative to organize a blood donation camp. This noble event took place on Sri Pushparamaya Temple from 8 am to 12.30 pm, partnering with the Blood Bank of General Hospital Bandarawela.
“Your donation of blood can be a lifeline in an emergency or for those who need long-term treatments,” highlights the significance of such an act. The nursing students not only contributed to saving lives but also gained valuable insights into the critical role blood plays in healthcare, making this experience enriching both academically and personally.
The event saw an enthusiastic participation from the students, staff, and local community, reflecting the true spirit of teamwork and service. The donation camp stands as a testament to the social responsibility our students embrace as future healthcare professionals.
Together, we make a difference—one donation at a time.
