A day at ‘Sahana’ Handicapped Children’s Hostel and Vocational Training Center

Nursing students of IVA paramedical campus Kandy had a visit to the “Sahana” Handicapped children’s hostel and vocational training center located in Ampitiya run by Kandy Women’s Development Centre on the 23^rd of August 2022. Students took steps to enhance their physical and mental health by engaging in various sports and fun activities that they love and entertained and educated young children by providing them with food and rewards that they prefer.
The children were given an opportunity to enjoy a tea party and gifts were also distributed among the children in order to make them happier. A speech by the head warden of the children’s home stated that this kind of program had not been organized by an institution before and they were very glad to welcome them all.
