“MATHIN THORA HETAK” at Sri Sumangala Pirivena, Hungama

Nursing students of IVA Paramedical Campus Tangalle visited Sri Sumangala Vidyayathana Pirivena, Hathagala, Hungama on 20th January 2023 to implement a session under the theme “MATHIN THORA HETAK” under the community development project. Mr. Deshabandu Thennakoon, working as a lecturer at the Tangalle branch, conducted a session on preventing underage alcohol and substance use which is critical for schoolers these days. He further expanded on the message that alcohol use by young people can impact the developing brain. Refreshments were provided for the participants by our students and that was such a valuable experience for the children.
